“The Peerless” Is a NEW recurve design that I've been working on for a over 2 years perfecting. I wanted a bow design that would enhance shooter accuracy verse the Quest for speed. After studying some of the great target bows of past and present, I started my designing with the concept that I wanted to develop a recurve bow that incorporates the accuracy and shootability of a target bow, while also looking at the mechanical wonders of today's parallel limb design compounds, long riser with a short limb. Which was also evident in the target recurves as well. So first to design a recurve CAM that would allow the limb to store a great amount of energy while maintaining limb stability and a smooth draw force. This was no easy adventure. To tight, to short, to open, to long, all presented new challenges in limb stability. After building a lot of prototype limbs, I found the perfect combination of recurve radius and core tapers. Then came the man machine interface, the riser. The predominate deflexed riser in the target bows and knowing the geometry of such riser does aid in accuracy. Meant the implementation of a deflexed riser to the Peerless was without a question. Obtaining the best deflection with the proper limb pad angles also allowed less limb bulge but proper brace tension. Combining these two components for the perfect overall geometry. The word Peerless, is on the bold side I know, but I feel this recurve has no peers. The Peerless is available in 60”, 62” bow lengths at this time. The Peerless Features: Peak Style Shelf Positioned properly for Accuracy, Three Fingers Under, or Split Finger shooting The Sculptured Grip to enhance Shot Accuracy and Consistency Limbs Ground to exact Draw Weight, Balance and Tiller
The Peerless : $ 1,271 Limbs only: $ 708
Here's a couple links to some other websites that folks had posted a review of the Peerless while still in prototyping.
